Maps and Memories

The weather forecast is nothing but rain this. I want nothing more than to make some tea, snuggle up under a big blanket like the quilt above, by Brooklyn Based Haptic Lab. They quilt maps of cities, take custom orders, and can add landmark names that are special to you.

read Paris 48°49N 2°29E by Ami Sioux. She asked 50 Parisians to hand draw a map to a place that is meaningful to them. She then visits the locations and takes a photograph of each.  I'd like to see her first book, which is a similar compilation of Reykjavík.
