How Living in "Surfer's Corner" Influenced my Style

The laid-back, barefoot-casual energy of Surfer's Corner (that’s Muizenberg, South Africa, for those who don’t know) has slowly begun to influence my personal style, and my morning routine is a lot simpler because of it.  I grab a sundress, strappy leather sandals, and run a quick curling iron through my hair to tame my beach curls.  I'm mixing neutrals and natural fabrics with bright pops of color.  I daydream about catching waves in a J.Crew rash-guard on an  Almond surfboard.

Within a stones throw of the beach, I've found several stores for surf style inspiration in Muizenberg, including the Corner Surf Shop,  Surf Emporium, and Lifestyle Surf Shop.  How does the area you live in influence your style?
