Photo Essay: Celebrating Spring in New York City

In New York City, every season is memorable for a different reason. It's the soupy heat and empty streets in summer. It's the slushy sidewalks and snowy tree branches in winter. It's the crisp breeze and bright colors of changing leaves in autumn. In this concrete jungle, spring is a special time when we pause, even if only for a brief second, to admire the fragrant blossoms lining our city's parks and streets.

insider travel tip

Visit the Brooklyn Botanic Garden on Tuesday and the New York Botanical Garden on Wednesday to take advantage of their free entrance days. Central Park is, of course, always free and the Conservatory Garden is especially nice in the spring.
