#NYisWILD Photographic Safari

This summer, the Wildlife Conservation Society is celebrating their 120th anniversary by running a Twitter and Instagram photographic competition called NY is WILD. Using the #NYisWILD hashtag and the number correlating to the species on their checklist, the mission is to document your experiences using Instagram and Twitter at their five parks plus a few random locations around New York City. There are some really great prizes to be won, including a 5-day trip for two to Belize, a WCS family membership, a whale watching tour, and more!

As someone who is passionate about wildlife conservation and photography, I can't wait to get started. I've always dreamed of traveling to Belize, specifically to learn more about the country's jungles and coral reefs, the indigenous wildlife (jaguars!), and the Mayan culture. But for now, I'll just have to stick to New York.

Want to join in the competition? Check out the full details on the #NYisWILD website. Good luck!
